hot chocolate

usually when i am wanting hot chocolate i just dig out the cadbury’s drinking chocolate and warm up some milk in the microwave and then stir in the chocolate and some cinnamon.
NOW? i will never ever do that again! thanks to this lady:

i will always enjoy a mug of made from scratch hot chocolate that is to die for!!

World’s Best Hot Chocolate

Mix:

8 oz. semi-sweet chocolate (I use mini-chocolate chips)
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Store mix in an airtight container.

For 4 servings:

2/3 cup cocoa mix
1/4 cup water
4 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

In a large pan on low heat, stir cocoa mix and water until melted. Add milk and beat with whisk until smooth. Heat on low until hot. Add vanilla. Serve.

it truly was amazingly good! i think i’ll have another tonight…i would have shared last night but andy went to bed early!! so i just made enough for 2 cups as i couldn’t think hard enough to measure out just a 1 cup portion. i have a huge purple mug that fit almost the whole 2 portions into it!! a few marshmallows on top and oh la la =)
